Where should I get after-sale service?

You can take your receipt and warranty card to the dealer who you purchased the product from to get after-sales service. For more details, please visit Warranty.


How do I check the authenticity of my product?

You can enter the anti-counterfeit code of your product on Anti-fake.


Where can I buy spare parts of the product?

You can buy it from XTAR dealer in your area. If you can’t, please let the dealer contact us or you can contact us directly.


2. During purchase

When the order can be delivered?

For dealers, most in-stock products will be delivered in 5 to 7 days. For end consumers, it varies from the dealers, but generally it will be delivered quickly.


Do all XTAR products go through quality inspection or just samples?

All XTAR products must past quality inspection before delivery.


Where can I buy XTAR products?

You can buy from local dealers. If you can’t buy from dealers, you can buy directly from us: xtarshop. If you don’t have the details of your local dealers, please feel free to email us at service@xtar.cc.


Can XTAR charger be charged by solar panel?

It can be charged by solar panel if the output voltage of the solar panel equals to the input voltage of XTAR USB charger.


Why are some XTAR chargers not equipped with micro USB cable?

1. The interface contact area of DC port is larger than micro USB, which maintains longer lifespan.

2. The USB-DC cable can support 2.5A current max and 30V voltage max, thus it has better compatibility than micro USB cable.

3. The USB-DC cable is specially designed for 5V power input. The dimension of the port is 5.5mm x 2.5mm, which avoids misuse of 12V power input to ensure your safety.


Can over-discharged battery really be revived?

Yes, most over-discharged batteries can be revived by 0V Activation Function of XTAR charger. But if the battery is too damaged, it couldn’t be revived and it is not recommended to be used.


Are all XTAR flashlight waterproof?

All of the flashlights are waterproof. For more details, you can visit the page of the products to get specifications.


Why does a flashlight become hot after running for a long time?

Flashlights with high lumens can get hot because of its high power. We use aluminum PCB to dissipate heat to outside, so that it won’t burn the flashlight from the inside. The temperature will be kept within a safe range.


What cell does XTAR battery use?

Most batteries are made of cells from SAMSUNG, PANASONIC, SONY and SANYO cell.

4. Particular Product


Can I use XP4 changer to charge IMR battery?

Yes, it can charge all 3.6/3.7V Li-ion batteries including IMR/INR/ICR, and it can also charge Ni-MH batteries, too.


What is the difference between MC series, VC series and VP series?

(1) MC series are equipped with Micro-USB port and can be used with all 5V USB power supply. With a compact design, it’s very portable for travelers.

(2) VC series also can be charged with all 5V USB power supply. With LCD display showing voltage, current and more, you can know detailed info of your battery and the charging status. VC2 Plus Master and VC4 both are compatible with Li-ion and NI-MH battery, and VC2 Plus Master can be used as a power bank for charging other devices.

(3) VP series also have LCD display showing battery voltage more accurately and they have 3 optional charging currents: 0.25A/0.5A/1A. VP2 can charge all of the Li-ion batteries including LiFePo4 and it has USB output function.


Is it safe to use 1A adapter to charge MC1?

Yes, it’s safe. MC1 can automatically adjust the most suitable current for the batteries.

So it is compatible with all 5V USB power supply including USB wall adapters, cell phone chargers, solar panels, PC USB, etc.


Why is there no adapter in the package of VC2 Plus/ VC4?

Most people already have lots of adapters available, so you don’t have to pay for extra one, which would save money for you. If you don’t have one, you can buy the adapter separately from XTAR local dealers. Both VC2 Plus and VC4 are compatible with all 5V USB power supply and we recommend you to use 5V 2.1A (or above) adapter to maximize the efficiency of VC2 Plus/ VC4.


Can I use VC4 to remove memory effect of Ni-MH battery?

No, VC4 charger can’t remove memory effect of Ni-MH battery. We can recommend you three chargers that have this function: XP1, XP4 & XP4c charger.


Can VC4 charge Lithium-Ion (LiFePO4) battery?

No, VC4 can't charge LiFePO4 because the cut-off voltage of LiFePO4 battery is 3.6V and the charging voltage of LiFePO4 is 3.2V. If you are looking for a charger can charge LiFePO4 battery, we recommend you XTAR VP2 charger which can charge all kinds of Li-ion batteries including LiFePO4.


Why does my VC4 charge with 0.5A, not 1A?

Both slot 1 and 4 can charge with 1A when slot 2 and slot 3 are not used. If there is a battery either in slot 2 or in slot 3, all slots will charge with 0.5A. Also the input current of the adapter matters. If you would like to charge batteries with 1A current, please use 5V 2.1A adapter and put the batteries into slot 1 and slot 4.


How do I know my D26 is the old model or the new one?

You can check on the website where you purchased the item or you can read the user manual in the package. There are two differences between them: (1) Old D26 used CREE XM-L U3 LED while new D26 uses CREE XM-L2 U3 LED; (2) The Maximum output of old D26 is 1000Lm, while the new D26 is 1100Lm. If you still can’t figure out, please send us your serial number and let us check for you.


How much the maximum voltage of XTAR 18650 3400mAh can reach?

Usually the voltage is 4.2V when the battery is fully charged


What is the maximum discharge current of XTAR 18650 2600mAh battery?

The maximum discharge current is 4.5A.


Why XTAR chargers flick “Ni-MH” symbol 10 minutes when charging Ni-MH batteries? (ET1, VC2 Plus, VC4, VP4 Plus)?

Because every XTAR charger has 0V activation function. The normal voltage of Ni-MH battery is 1.2V, XTAR charger will regard batteries whose voltage is lower than 2.5V as over-discharged Li-ion batteries first. It charges with a very small current. If the charger detects it is a Ni-MH battery, it shows “Ni-MH”, if not, it will show “Li-ion”. Sometimes it needs 10-15 minutes to conclude if it is over-discharged, so the symbol flick until the detection is done.
